Finds Galore

Monday, 21 April 2014

The past few weeks have been quite busy! I'm usually quite good with listing things since storage is at a premium but I've been lucky (isn't that what everybody else calls hardworking?) lately, so I've fallen behind. I'm trying to work on the stuff I have instead of acquiring more, which meant I left some things behind I would pick up on a leaner week.

I've also started an Instagram account, so if you haven't already, go follow me.

But you're here for the photos, so here goes!

A BIG lot of Kronjyden Nissen Relief line serving pieces. Designed by Jens Quistgaard in the 1960s. Not a lot from this company seems to have made it across the ocean, so I'm always excited to find it.

I added to Stig Lindberg's Mustard jars, originally made by Gustavsberg for the Swedish drugstore monopoly Apoteken. I've read that there are seven colours in total, if that's true then I have three more to go. Listed in the store.

A pair of Danish salt and pepper mills, they look like they've never been used. SOLD.

Barovier + Toso Toucan from Murano which a dealer had just picked up on a recent trip to Florida. I'm assuming it'll fly back soon. Two Bitossi planters in the Seta pattern SOLD.

As usual, I can't stay away from buying more flatware. This is the Focus line from the Swedish Gense. Designed in 1955 by Folke Alström. SOLD.

I loved the numbers on this monochrome Cardinal alarm clock from Czechoslovakia, listed in the shop

And saving the best for last, these were the first birds Oiva Toikka made, that started the bird series both him and iittala are still known for, 30 years later. These Flycatchers are from 1972 with the original stickers. These were re-issued for a bit in the 1990s but apparently the stand is formed a bit differently. Green is SOLD.
